This horse has been scupted out of black grogged stoneware clay. It has been decorated with oxide, glaze, and terra sigillata. The terra sigillata is applied when the piece is leather hard, in many layers, and appears after firing as a deep black colouring.
This piece has been numbered on it’s base, 83, and stampled with my potters mark.
It is 14cm long, 6cm wide, and 26cm tall, and weighs 1.7Kg.
